Sudanese Businessmen: We Have Investment Projects in Syria

Damascus, (ST) – A number of Sudanese businessmen and owners of companies and offices of tourism and travel arrived in Damascus yesterday. The Sudanese delegation expressed willingness to activate tourism and commercial traffic between the two countries and finding investment opportunities in Syria.

In an arrival statement to local press, head of the Sudanese delegation, Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud, pointed to the importance of strengthening relations between Syria and Sudan in the tourist, economic, social and cultural fields, indicating that activating tourist movement depends primarily on international traffic and creating a bridge of communication across the airlines between the two countries.

 

For his part, the owner of a tourism company, Mohamed al Amine Adam Mohammed Hassan, pointed to the importance of opening a transport airline between the two countries to activate tourism, adding that “Syria has all elements of tourism and infrastructure and this helps to invest in various fields, stressing that” owners of companies and businessmen have a wide agenda of investment projects and programs to activate tourism between the two countries and strengthen economic ties.

Director of Damascus Countryside Tourism, Eng. Tariq Creishati, pointed out that the Sudanese delegation’s visit contributes to expand the horizons of cooperation between tourism companies in the two countries through communication with the owners of tourist offices and companies and mapping out joint tourist programs.

For his part, General Director of Fly Damas Airways, Samer Dehni, explained that the company is performing the final preparations for the opening of the Khartoum, Damascus line and vice versa and this will open new horizons for tourism cooperation and trade between the two countries.

The invitation of businessmen and owners of tourist companies from Sudan aims at briefing  them on the real situation in Syria, Mr. Dehni added.
