Successful Political Solution in Syria to Have Positive Impacts on Situation in Libya, Iraq, Yemen – Egyptian Diplomat

CAIRO, (ST)-Former Egyptian Ambassador to Syria Mustafa Abdul Aziz has asserted that “successful political solution in Syria will have positive impacts on the situation in Libya, Iraq and Yemen.”

Abdul Aziz was cited by Egyptian media as saying yesterday that the Russian military support for Syria will reshape the situation in the country.

 “The Russian airstrikes against terrorist organizations in Syria aim at eliminating these organizations as to create proper environment for the Syrian political sides to sit to the negotiation table and find a settlement to the crisis in their country,” He added.

According to Abdul Azizi, “one of the reasons behind the tragic events in Syria has been the defeat of the Israeli occupation in South Lebanon in 2000 thanks to the Syrian unlimited support for the Lebanese national resistance.”
