Students and professors of Tishreen University organize a stand in solidarity with the Russian Federation

Students and professors of Tishreen University organized this morning a stand in solidarity with Russia and its people in the face of American and Western policy.

The participants expressed the Syrian people’s support for Russia and its people against the Western powers that were and still seek to undermine the sovereign states and peoples and try to divide them and plunder their wealth, stressing that the special operation carried out by the Russian army in Ukraine comes within the framework of maintaining global peace and security.

In a speech during the solidarity stand, the Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party branch at Tishreen University, Dr. Mirna Dalaleh, indicated that this stand “is an expression of the Syrian people’s standing with Russia, which provided support to Syria in the most difficult moments. The enemy is one, and Russia is currently facing the colonial powers that stand in the face of the peoples.” This confrontation will be a correction of history and restoring balance to international relations,” she said, pointing out that Russia “does not only defend itself, but also the values of justice and humanity.”

In turn, the director of public relations for the Russian-Syrian community in Syria, Ina Britkov, expressed in her speech her thanks to the Syrian people, “for their solidarity with the Russian people, army and leadership in this confrontation and at these times when Russia and Syria are facing the forces of colonial imperialism and terrorism, and they will win together and will remain with each other forever.”

Tishreen University Rector Dr. Bassam Hassan saw that this stand is a message of loyalty to those who stood by Syria in the face of terrorism express their support for international peace and security, and Syria and Russia are working to achieve world peace.

The University academics believed that what Russia is doing is to protect its people and interests, a step that will restore balance to the world, and today’s stand is an expression of support for truth and justice and for peace around the world.

The academics believed that the Syrian and Russian peoples are facing the same schemes that target the unity of the countries of the world, and just as Russia has stood by Syria in confronting terrorism, Syria is standing by Russia in the face of forces that target its security and interests. Russia, in its special operation in Ukraine, defends its legitimate rights to protect its lands and interests against the colonial plans of America and its supporters, and the Syrian people today spontaneously express their support for their Russian ally in the face of a common enemy.

Tishreen University students pointed out that the solidarity stands in most of the Syrian governorates are a clear embodiment of the depth of the relationship that binds these two peoples in all fields, stressing that the two countries face a common enemy that they will defeat in order to achieve global peace and security.

The child, Iman Ali, who had been honored by the Russian President, delivered a speech, in Russian and Arabic, in which she expressed “the message of love and peace the bearers of which will never lose as Russia and Syria carry this message to the world.” In the name of the children of Syria, she thanked the Russian people for standing by the Syrian people in the face of terrorism.

The child Iman praised the friendship and love that “combines the Syrian and Russian peoples because they love peace for the whole world,” pointing out that the Russian President offered her the dove of peace as a gift for the children of Syria.
