Students and education staff in Qamishli protest against forcible closure of the city’s schools by US-backed SDF militia
HASAKA, (ST)- Students and the education staff in the city of Qamishli in Hasaka organized a demonstration to protest against the forcible seizure and closure of the city’s schools by the US-backed separatist militia called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in an aggressive manner, so depriving Syrian students from education.
The SDF militia has captured about 93% of the schools of Hasaka province with the aim of stopping the education process, depriving thousands of children and youths from education and imposing its separatist policies in the service of the US occupation’s agenda.
The students carried placards calling for opening their schools to continue their education and rejecting the SDF militia’s practices and separatist schemes.
Some members of the education staff said that the SDF’s provocative and aggressive practices constitute a crime that must not go without punishment, as it deprives thousands of children of education, directly affects the stability of the educational process in the country and leads to the deterioration of the level of education.
