Strategy of Syrian Army and its Allies in the War against Terrorism A Success

DAMASCUS,(ST)- The liberation of the world-heritage historic City of Palmyra (Tadmur)  is but an important achievement and a further proof of the success of the strategy of the Syrian Army and its Allies in the war against terrorism, underscored H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad.

Receiving a visiting French delegation, comprising Parliamentarians, intellectuals, researches and journalists, President Al-Assad, further, cited the non-seriousness of the US-led alliance of more than 60 countries in the fight against terrorism, given the little achieved bu such alliance for more than a year and a half.

H.E. President Al-Assad pointed out that the visits by Parliamentarian delegations to Syria as o be first-hand acquainted with the conditions in all Syrian cities and regions would but help as to actively work for correcting the wrong policies and deformed concepts adopted by the governments of some States, among which is France, regarding the ongoing in Syria.

The practices of the government of France provided cover for the terrorists and worked further for imposing unjust economic sanctions on Syria, inflicting negative consequences on the daily basics of the Syrians life, added H.E. President Al-Assad.

Members of the French visiting delegation voiced their solidarity with the Syrian People, asserting their continued work as to alleviate the sufferings of the Syrians and get the economic siege imposed upon then lifted.

The delegations members hoped for the return of peace and stability to Syria as soon as possible, asserting the importance of preserving the civilization and cultural variety in which Syria is distinguished with.

The conditions in Syria were reviewed where H.E. President Al-Assad briefed the delegation on the latest developments at the economic and field levels.
