Damascus countryside – Status of scores of persons from eastern Ghouta was settled on Monday during a national event held in al-Wahban village on the outskirts of al-Badyah in Damascus eastern countryside, SANA reported.
The step is considered as part of the national reconciliation process.
500 persons from Tal Dakwah, Ber al-Qasab, Sis, Makhoul and a number of other residential compounds in the region joined the settlement process after they had pledged not to carry out any act that would destabilize the Homeland.
One of the army’s field commanders said that units of the army, while they were carrying out military operations, were committed to protect the civilians through implementing special operations.
He added that after defeating terrorists, families were returning to their homes.
