State of Emergency Declared in Egypt

Egypt, CAIRO,(ST)_ Interim  Egyptian President Adli Mansour yesterday issued a decision to declare a state of emergency in all parts of the country for a month , while  Hazem El-Beblawi Prime Minister decision declared curfew in the range of 12 Egyptian governorates .

The two decisions  came  after mounting clashes between the Egyptian security forces and the police on the one hand and the Muslim Brotherhood on the other, when  the Muslim Brotherhood retaliated to clearing of  Rabaa El Adaweya  and al-Nahda sit ins by resorting to violence and attacking several police stations and security in many Egyptian Muhafazat.

Meantime, the Egyptian ministry of Health announced that 278 persons were killed including 43 security force members during cleansing  sit-ins of the ousted President Muhammad Morsi and the followed clashes in all parts of Egypt.

Riot police on Wednesday cleared two sprawling encampments of supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, sparking running street battles that killed at least 278 people. The presidency declared a month-long state of emergency across the nation as Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei resigned in protest over the assaults.
