Stances on probation

Moscow has become now the epicenter of diplomatic flurry in preparing for the so-called Geneva 2 conference regarding the ongoing events in Syria that have been widely become an international and regional crisis owing to its metastasis and the entanglement of many super powers in addition to the impact upon the peace and security in the region and the world especially the trans border terrorism being financed and harbored by international and regional powers.

Syria has already forewarned the countries in the region and the international community in general that what is going on in Syria with regard to the killing, brutalism and terrorism would spill over to the neighboring countries and those exporting them to boot.

None will be impervious to the repercussions of such acts and in fact this is what has been internationally acknowledged but it rather became the talk of mainstream media in the world warning the international community against the grave repercussions.

Such a stand could be one of the reasons that precipitated an international consensus to expedite the convention of Geneva conference in addition to the fact that such sinisterly-hatched terrorism supported and financed by foreign countries as manifested by the ongoing events in Syria could get out of control to be replicated in the most strategic and historical regions which would pose an imminent danger thus putting the civilized thought at stake.

The world is coming around now to realize that the stability in Syria is tantamount to the stability in the region and vice versa. Syria occupies the heart position but rather a nucleus and lifeline which signifies that tampering with peace in Syria is very perilous. The political jolt will have its reverberations that exceed its geographical boundaries to affect the entire region and the world.

Peace advocates in the region will undoubtedly sense the nature of the international move which was necessitated by the crisis and the constellation of catalysts that occurred in the international balance.  The responsibility for terrorism, brutalism and vandalism being witnessed in Syria should be shouldered by the states and powers who allege concern for the international peace and security and further combating terrorism. By doing so they simply practice the policy of falsities and double standards.

If Geneva conference is convened, it will divulge the credibility of the states involved in the war against the Syrian people as these states pay lip service to the convention of Geneva conference and show keenness to make it a success by making the combat against terrorism and the cessation of all support a priority on their agenda and definitely not steering it off course to materialize the wishes of some foreign powers and their tools who endeavor to grip power at any cost.
