Spotlights

The Saudi government call on its nationals to desist from going to fight    under the so-called jihad in Syria has surfaced. Also demanding those already involved in terrorism to go back to the kingdom or report to the Saudi embassy in Turkey menacing them of aggravated retributions to mete out for those leaving the kingdom for such purposes.

The news surfaced on the news bulletins last week. Undoubtedly, such media marketing is not a normal issue because there are factors and reasons behind the call among which is the growing talk in the regional and western media about the vile role of the Saudi kingdom in manufacturing, breeding and exporting terrorism and extremism through the religious, educational and cultural rhetoric adapted by the kingdom `s official institutions.

Such tendency is being sanctioned by its security institutions and foreign diplomatic corps in addition the religious and educational institutions which camouflage under the Islamic conference organization.

One of the reasons of the kingdoms action was triggered by what the Syrian foreign ministry submitted to the international security council concerning memoranda supported with documents and evidences which prove the irrefragable involvement of the Saudi government in the ongoing terrorism in Syria let alone the financial and logistical support the terrorists overtly and covertly receive.

The measures of the Saudi government are but only an indictment proving that it was furnishing the appropriate terrain for terrorism and exporting it as ordered by its American master the thing that makes it legally and morally liable pursuant to  the UN and security council resolutions relating to encountering terrorism and drying up resources.

The role of the Saudi government does not stop short at manufacturing terrorism, breeding and exporting but it overshoots to adapt political and media rhetoric against Syria and publicly concluding financial and voluminous transactions of materiel by using neighboring countries to smuggle military hardware to the terrorist groups wreaking havoc in Syria  in cahoots with the US and some European countries, Turkey and Jordan. All  has been the talk of  most of the European media outlets and substantiated by concerned institutions.

Those who follow the ongoing events in Syria would certainly realize the Saudi role speaking about the decisions of the kingdom to encounter  terrorism, manufacturing and marketing is mere media spin aiming at feigning an impression upon the general public opinion inside the kingdom-after hearing social media tones about the Saudi intelligence role in collaboration with the American, Israeli, and Jordanian intelligence to set up an ad-hoc joint operation room-that the Saudi government is serious in taking legal and deterring measures in this respect because the Saudi kingdom is immeasurably entangled.

Extremism, terrorism and hatred would not be curbed by legal or deterring measures adapted by one party or another but rather by a sophisticated process that requires transparent cultural, educational and religious strategy in addition to an outspoken statement incriminating any terrorist actions instigating killing and hatred.
