Sports Federation honors delegation of the Syrian team for special sports

The General Sports Federation honored the delegation of the Syrian team for special sports, which includes wounded heroes who won medals in the West Asian Paralympics Championship, which was recently concluded in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

Deputy Defense Minister and Chairman of the Joint Committee of the Homeland Wounded Project, General Mahmoud Al-Shawa, noted  that the homeland wounded personnel is capable of achieving great results which reflect his great ambition and enthusiasm. He  pointed out that the work plan for the next stage is to continue discovering the talents of the wounded, and including the distinguished among them to the Syria national sports team.

 

President of the General Sports Federation Firas Mualla underlined the importance of  the team’s  achievements, confirming that the medals that were won drew the attention of the organizers and those interested in the West Asian Championship. He indicated that there is an important participation in the coming month of September in  the Asian Games. The Sports Federation will provide support to all crowned champions.

Member of the Executive Office, Abdel Nasser Karko, said that the players of the national team gave a remarkable performance in the tournament, and we got everyone’s encouragement and attention.

President of the Special Sports Federation, Muhammad Khaled Al-Mohammed, praised the players’ enthusiastic performance, their discipline and commitment, in addition to their technical performance, which was represented in achieving advanced positions.

The players expressed their appreciation for the attention they received from the Sports Federation and the Homeland Wounded Foundation, asserting that the honor is an important incentive to exert more effort to win new medals in the upcoming tournaments.

It is noteworthy that the delegation of our team won various gold, silver and bronze medals.
