Spanish researcher: The Turkish occupation’s act of cut water supply of the Syrian citizens in Hasaka, is a crime and a violation of international laws

Pablo Sabbagh, a researcher and professor at the Spanish State University of Complutense in Madrid has confirmed that the Turkish occupation’s deliberate and continuous cutting off drinking water of the Syrian citizens in the governorate of Hasaka is a clear crime and a violation of international law.

Sabbagh stated that this act constitutes a crime against the basic human rights of peoples, especially their right to have water as an essential element of life, indicating that this crime is becoming more and more ugly in light of the Corona epidemic, which requires doubling sterilization measures.

Sabbagh indicated that the international community should clearly condemn the practices of the Turkish regime and its mercenary groups.

Sabbagh pointed out that what the American and Turkish occupations are doing in Syria is in harmony with the ongoing attacks launched by the Israeli entity on the Syrian lands, explaining that this entity continues its illegal occupation of the Syrian Golan and launches its attacks on Syria, which constitute a violation of international and humanitarian law and a threat to peace, security and stability in the Middle East.
