The Syrian embassy in Spain in cooperation with the International Platform against Wars recently held a special celebration on the occasion of the first showing of the Spanish documentary “Out of Love to Syria, Stories of Resistance” by director Susana Oviedo in Madrid. The documentary casts light on the role played by Syrian women and their steadfastness along with the Syrian Arab soldiers in confrontation of the global terrorist war launched against Syria. The film also sheds light on the Syrian women’s great pride in the martyrdom of their children for the sake of their people and homeland.
Oviedo, who visited Syria several times, talked about the greatness of Syrian people and the steadfastness of Syrians in confrontation of the takfiri terrorist war which targeted the infrastructure, especially hospitals, schools and electricity networks.
The director also talked about the sinister and colonialist objectives behind the takfiri terrorist war against Syria, especially creating sectarian sedition among the Syrians who have been an example to be followed in the peaceful co-existence among all components of the Syrian society. Oviedo referred to the attempts made by the Takfiri terrorist groups to devastate Syria’s deeply-rooted civilization and rich heritage through targeting archaeological monuments that testify to the fact that Syria is the first birthplace of human civilization.
Syria’s ambassador to Spain Samir al-Qassir expressed deep thanks to the cast of the film which throws light on the suffering of the Syrian people as a result of the takfiri war and their unwavering steadfastness to confront this war.
Al-Qassir stressed that the importance of the film lies in the fact that it conveys the reality of what happened in Syria over the past eight years and refuted the misleading media campaigns mongered by the enemies of Syrian people.
