Spain calls on all European countries to recognize the state of Palestine

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called on all European countries to recognize Palestine as an independent state, noting that this is the only way to resolve the conflict in the Middle East region.

“Madrid is doing everything possible to stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip, reach a ceasefire and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid,” Sanchez was quoted as saying by Novosti.

On May 27, Spain officially announced its recognition of the state of Palestine, along with Ireland and Norway, and joined the lawsuit filed by South Africa before the International Criminal Court against the Israeli entity for war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
