Artist Rula Nouilati held her second solo exhibition entitled “Spaces” at the Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh .In this exhibition she presents her own artistic formulations that reflect her visions.
The exhibition includes 25 large-sized acrylic paintings that display colorful formulations that form shapes and symbols .
Rula told Syria Times: “My current exhibition is a continuation of the first one which I held two years ago. I show paintings in which I use different techniques”.
“The paintings depict the female who wants spaces and freedom in her life and wants to reach her goal without any obstacles…. The female represents strength and dreams and romance” she said.
“The main painting in the exhibition is inspired by Picasso’s Guernica painting and I presented it with my own vision and colors with the introduction of Islamic decoration in simulating the reality we live in today and Syria’s steadfastness”.
“ I used in my paintings bright colors that reflect happiness and joy and show optimism,” Nouilati added.
“I work hard to devote my own artistic style through my paintings, and I try in each exhibition to renew my style, themes and techniques.”
Rabab Ahmad ,the director of the Arab Cultural center in Damascus said that artist Rula managed to show her own distinguished paintings that reflect her own artistic experience.
