South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation visits Syria for talks on bilateral relations
South African Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Candith Mashego Dlamini arrived in Damascus in an official visit to Syria during which she will hold talks with senior Syrian officials on bilateral relations.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari as well as some directors in the foreign ministry welcomed Dlamini and the accompanying delegation at the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing on the Syrian-Lebanese borders.
Dlamini’s visit includes, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine.The visit is intended to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations between South Africa and the Levant countries. This will include the formation of a Strategic Dialogue between Palestine and South Africa aimed at advancing the Palestinians’ desire to establish an independent sovereign state.
