South African Deputy Foreign Minister Alvin Botes has stressed that the lawsuit his country filed against Israeli at the International Court of Justice aimed at adopting the measures necessary to stop the genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
In a press release reported by Wafa News Agency, Botes said that “the government of South Africa and the member states of the International Court of Justice continue to follow up on Israel’s submission of its report to the Court, and will not hesitate to take the necessary measures to support the Palestinian people and follow up on the Israeli behavior in defiance of the decision and order of the International Court of Justice”.
“We, as a member state of the United Nations and the International Court of Justice, stressed the need to take this step, and called on the Attorney General to take this issue seriously. We also affirmed that Israel’s crimes and aggressive should be investigated,” Botes said, pointing out that his country addressed the entire world to stress the importance that Israel stops the war crimes it is committing against the Palestinians.
