South Africa will submit a documented memorandum proving the occupation’s involvement in genocide crimes in Palestine
Johannesburg, (ST)- The South African presidency announced that it will submit a memorandum to the International Court of Justice next month, documented with facts and evidence proving that the Israeli occupation entity has committed crimes of genocide in Palestine.
The presidency confirmed in a post on its official website that this case that it filed last December against the Israeli entity will continue until the court issues its ruling. The presidency called on this entity to abide by the interim orders issued by the court so far.
At the end of last December, South Africa resorted to the International Court of Justice, and filed a complaint against “Israel”, the occupying power, against the background of its involvement in acts of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip and its violation of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention of Genocide, concluded in 1948, through its aggression on the Strip.
The Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers urged at the conclusion of its 162nd regular session held yesterday at the League’s headquarters in Cairo, the International Court of Justice to expedite the ruling on the subject of the lawsuit filed by the Republic of South Africa against the Israeli entity against the background of its continued brutal aggression on Gaza.
