Sons of Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abo Hawwash scream: “ We want our father alive

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Jan.3, (ST)- The Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abo Hawwash continues with his battle of empty stomach for the 140th  day .He  has entered a critical stage yet still the Israeli occupation reject   releasing him. 
 
His five sons screamed in the face of the Israeli prison’s authority : “ We want our father alive..”, but the international community ignores their call  and does not force the Israeli occupation to stop their crime against Abo Hawwash and the other prisoners. 
 
 Imad Abu Hawash, the brother of the prisoner Hisham, said to, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) hat “Hisham is in a full coma since 4 hours.”
 
He added that “Hisham could be martyred at any moment,” and added that that Israeli occupation is trying to gain time to harm Hisham.”
 
Hassan Abd Rabbo, the Commission’s Media Spokesperson, told Wafa that the life of the prisoner is at risk, and he is inching closer to death with every passing minute.
 
He is in an intermittent coma and suffers from weak eyesight and inability to speak, in addition to heart problems and muscle atrophy.
 
Abd Rabbo stressed that there are ongoing efforts to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to release Abo Hawaash. 
 
Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abo Hawwash faces the threat of sudden death, PPC lawyer Jawad Boulos said Saturday.
 
The Palestinian Prisoners Club said Jawad Boulos affirmed, based on a medical report issued by doctors in humanitarian organizations, “Prisoner Hisham Abo Hawwash, who has been hunger-striking for 138 days, faces the threat of sudden death, and he is in a very critical condition.”
 
“The doctors attached basic and keynotes in the report, which says the medical staff in the hospital refused to update them on Hisham’s health condition. The doctors who visited were unable to comprehend the fact that doctors in previous hospitals agreed to transfer him back to prison, despite the reports highlighting how serious his health condition was,” Boulos said.
 
The 40-year-old Abo Hawwash is from the town of Dura in the south of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil. He was detained by the occupation forces several times since 2003 and last time was in October 2020.
 
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
