Beirut, (ST) -Some 100 Syrian companies take part in the Syria Mod Exhibition for clothing and fabric being held in Beirut at the International Exhibition Center.
The exhibition, organized the Syrian Federation of Exporters (SFE), the Syrian Exporters Association of Clothing and Textiles, the Development and Promotion Authority of Exports (DPAE), Damascus and Aleppo Chambers of Industry. Incudes pavilions for women, men cotton and sports clothing in addition to children’s clothing, Eastern embroideries, socks, knitwear, shipping companies and banks.
Lebanese Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan said in a statement at the opening of the exhibition: “We stand by Syria, which pay a price on behalf of the entire Arab nation and to the side of their industry, which provides its stability relative.”
For his part, head of the Syrian Federation of Exporters Mohammed al Swah said: “This exhibition is a message to the whole world that Syria is a state establishments and able to production, export and keep abreast of developments in all fields,” pointing out that this event comes within the framework of the SFE to play the primary role in the promotion of Syrian exports and the provision of facilities for exporters and importers to achieve the objective of the exhibition, including the signing of contracts to support the Syrian industry and enhance the national economy.
For his part, head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry Samer al Debss explained that this exhibition proves once again that Syria has been the permanent lighthouse for the industry in spite of all risks, pointing out that the broad participation of exhibitors confirms that the Syrian industry always superior and keep up with each development at all levels.
For his part, Secretary General of the SEFMazen Hammour pointed that this exhibition and other exhibitions confirm that the Syrian industry is still fine and it has proved its presence thanks to the Syrian exporter and product.
Head of the marketing department at the Sham Bank Deia’ Atteqa said that the Bank’s participation in this important economic activity comes under the responsibility of the bank to support Syrian producers and exporters in various specializations and to help any activity that serves the national economy where the bank offers through the event a range of banking services and facilities that serve exporters in the financing of imports of raw materials and finance everything related to production and development.
