 TEHRAN (ST)- “Iran is opposed to shedding a drop of blood of any Muslim, but the main culprits in the current situation are those who caused the situation to deteriorate into civil war, destruction, and fratricide.” Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei commented on the crisis in Syria.

Khamenei made the remarks in Tehran on Tuesday during a meeting with the participants of the two-day international conference on university professors and the Islamic Awakening, which was brought to a close in the Iranian capital on the same day. 

Two hundred and fifty foreign professors and 350 Iranian professors attended the conference, which was held under the title “Promotion of Justice and Islamic Democracy.”
