DAMASCUS,(ST)_Some eight mortar shells hit four urban quarters in the capital [Damascus], leaving two civilians wounded, according to a police command source.
The source was quoted on the official news agency as saying that five shells- fired by terrorists- struck al-Abbaseyen quarter where a civilian was wounded.
The mortar attack caused damages to the ‘Matrtyr Hasan Salem’ school, a shop, four houses and several cars at the site.
Another terrorist attack took place in al-Qassa’a quarter when a shell landed there, wounding a civilian.
Two more shells landed at Afran Ibn al-Amed area in Rekneddin quarter and in al-Fayhaa area, causing material damages without casualties.
Last Tuesday, terrorists fired shells on Bab al-Salam and al-Emareyeh areas in Damascus, leaving damages to civilians’ properties.
Yesterday, a mortar attack killed a civilian and wounded five others in Jdaydet Artouz area outside Damascus.
