Some 80 Companies Take Part in “Syria Mosaic 2” Exhibition

Damascus, (ST) – With the participation of some 80 companies, activities the “Syria Mosaic 2” Exhibition launched at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus. The event was organized by the Economic Community to Promote International investment in cooperation with the Ministries of Tourism and Information.

The exhibition includes various economic, commercial, industrial, tourist, technological, educational, scientific, telecommunications and services activities in addition to some traditional handicrafts from the public and private sectors.

 

In a statement to local press, many of the participants in the exhibition underlined the importance of the exhibition which combines various economic and business events whereas the General Director of the industrial City of Adra, Ziad Baddour, explained that the participation of the Industrial City in the exhibition came to define industrialists and producers on reality and enable them to open new markets, to inform industrialists and those who are interested in investment opportunities in the city.

 Following the opening of the exhibition, the Minister of Tourism Eng. Bisher Yaziji told reporters about the importance of such exhibitions at this time as an opportunity to present ideas and experiences among the participants, explaining that the great diversity in the exhibition is an indication to the ongoing of economic life in Syria despite all the difficult circumstances and economic sanctions.

 He also noted the participation of the industrial city of Adra, calling for the need to focus on small and medium enterprises especially the old traditional industries.

 Head of the Economic Community for the Promotion of International Investment Dr. Nabil Marzouk said that the three-day exhibition brings together a group of business, investment, education, science and technology activities. He added that a series of seminars and lectures on investment, industry, tourism, agriculture and education will be delivered on the sidelines of the exhibition.
