Some 70 Syrian publishers are to take part in Cairo International Book Fair

More than 70 Syrian publishers are to take part in Cairo’s 52nd International Book Fair out of 1218 publishers representing 25 countries.

Head of the Syrian Publishers Union Haitham Hafez told SANA correspondent in Cairo that the Syrian publishers will introduce to the Egyptian and Arab readers their best books which cover several domains, especially children, knowledge and translated books.

There will be an expanded meeting between the Syrian and Egyptian Publishers Unions with the aim of enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries and boosting the publishing process in the service of the Syrian and Egyptian readers, Hafez added.

He pointed out that Syria will also participate in the meeting of the Arab Publishers Association to be held on the sidelines of the fair.

The Cairo International Book Fair, which will be held amid precautionary measures due to the Corona pandemic, will continue until July 15th.
