Some 6.11 Tons of Grapes in Idleb

IDLEB, (ST) – Director of Idleb Agriculture, Eng. Mohamed Nur Takko, estimated the production of the grape crop this season at 11669 tons.

 Eng. Takko said  in a statement today that the number of vine trees in the governorate is 700,000  trees located on an area of three thousand hectares.

 He underlined that the general condition of the crop is good and it is free from infections and insect pests pointing out that the cultivation of the vine has flourished recently, especially in areas where irrigation water is available.

 Vine cultivation is concentrated in the areas of Harem, Ariha and rural villages of Orontes.
