Some 40 National Companies to Take Part in SIMA 1st Exhibition on Reconstruction

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Forty national companies are to take part in the Syrian International Marketing Association SIMA’s 1st Exhibition on Reconstruction which is due to be held on November 24th, 2014in Damascus.

SIMA organizes the three-day event in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and with a support from the Union of the Syrian Commerce Chambers.

SIMA Director General Muwaffaq Tayyara said the exhibition aims to contribute to drawing up features of the coming era and to prepare for the process of reconstruction in the country. It is an opportunity for both local and international building material importers to meet and exchange views on reconstruction plans.

According to Tayyara, workshops are to be held on the sideline of the exhibition in addition to lectures tackling the procedures adopted regarding building plans in Homs province after assessing the size of damage caused to city’s buildings.

The exhibition covers different fields including building, construction, real-estate and engineering services, infrastructure, banking, transport, insurance and up-to- date production of equipments and technical services relating to reconstruction.
