Lattakia, (ST) – The first ship, on the direct shipping line to the Federal Republic of Russia, set off yesterday carrying 1600 tons of Syrian agricultural products crowning the efforts of the Syrian-Russian village for exports and imports.
In a statement to local press, Director of the Syrian village, Khaldoun Mazher Ahmed, said that “The cargo includes agricultural products, pointing out that this shipment represents the village’s efforts to export Syrian products to Russia. Another shipment is scheduled to be shipped after 15 days.
“The shipment will arrive at Russian ports during 5 days,”Mr. Ahmed clarified.
The Syrian- Russian village for exports and imports was opened on the ninth of December last year and aims to support the Syrian- Russian-economic cooperation and to develop trade between the two countries.
