DAMASCUS, (ST) – With the participation of 14 charity societies and several Syrian companies the “Elite Diamond 3 “charity Bazaar was opened yesterday at Damascus Sheraton Hotel. It will last for three days.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Rida Zeyadeh said that the ministry sponsorship of charity bazaars aims to activate domestic tourism and developing handicrafts, arguing that the large turnout at these events reflects the appeal of Syrians to life, despite the difficult circumstances they are experiencing.
Event co- organizer Ammar al-Abras said that “the aim of the bazaar is to avail the participants, especially merchants who lost their shops because of the crisis and housewives to market their products for visitors “, explaining the importance of the bazaar as an opportunity for social networking between companies and societies involved.
The bazaar displays products and hand craftsmanship of wool and embroideries, accessories and garments in addition to foodstuffs.
