PROVINES,(ST)_Foreign-backed terrorists have launched some 13 mortar shells on five urban areas in Damascus and outside Damascus and Quneitra provinces, killing at least two civilians and wounding nine others, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency quoted a source at police command as saying that six shells hit Daheyet Harasta Square in Damascus countryside where almost a civilian was martyred and three others wounded.
The mortar attack caused damages to several cars at the site.
About 13 civilians wounded
Another mortar attack ripped through al-Dwel’a quarter in the capital [Damascus] as a shell landed on a house there, wounding five civilians, including two children.
Earlier, the agency said that two shells struck al-Sha’alan and al-Abbaseyen quarters in the same province [Damascus], leaving material damages without casualties.
Last night, about eight civilians were wounded when mortar shells landed in Bab Tuma and al-Zahera quarters in Damascus.
A civilian martyred
While in Quneitra countryside, four shells hit Khan Arnabeh town where at least a civilian was martyred and another wounded.
A police command source clarified that three shells landed near the ‘Martyr Hani Qwedir’ School and the fourth one landed to the south of municipality building in the town.
