The International Export Exhibition for Shoes, Leather Industries, and Production Requirements “SILA” /Autumn-Winter 2021/ is to kick off on Sunday at Damascus Fairgrounds with the participation of around 100 Syrian, Arab and foreign companies.
The Exhibition, which is organized by the Arab Union for Leather Industries in cooperation with the Unions of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of Industry, showcases the latest designs of leather shoes, bags, jackets and other products produced by industrialists and craftsmen.
In a statement to SANA, Secretary General of the Arab Union for Leather Industries Mohammad Kazara stressed that the Syrian leather industries have witnessed notable development and they have good reputation in the Arab world, pointed out that the exportation of Syrian leather products will be resumed due to their high competitiveness in terms of quality, price and design.
Kazara made it clear that 400 businessmen from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Libya and Algeria were invited to the exhibition with the aim of signing export deals that help the Syrian leather products enter foreign markets.
The 4-day exhibition, which extends over an area of 7000 square meters, will witness an Iranian and Chinese participation.
