The Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud congratulated President Ahmad al-Sharaa on assuming the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic during the transitional period.

The Somali News Agency (SONA) reported that President Mohamud expressed his sincere wishes for success in leading the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic during this important phase, and in achieving the hopes and aspirations of the Syrian people towards comprehensive developmental reforms and national security and stability.
