Solidarity stands in Tulkarm and Al-Bireh in support of the prisoners in the occupation’s jails

Hundreds of Palestinians, during two solidarity stands today in the cities of Tulkarm and Al-Bireh in the West Bank, called on the international community to stand by their just causes, and to put pressure on the occupation to immediately release all prisoners, especially those on hunger strike.

Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the two vigils organized by the Palestinian national forces and the families of prisoners and liberated prisoners in front of the headquarters of the Red Cross in the center of the city of Tulkarm and in the square of the city of Al-Bireh Cultural Center raised Palestinian flags and pictures of the 30 prisoners on hunger strike and banners condemning the Israeli violations against them, especially children and patients, including Nasser Abu Hamid and Zakaria al-Zubaidi, and chanted slogans saluting their steadfastness and solid will in the face of the Israeli jailer.

The Governor of Tulkarm Issam Abu Bakr indicated that the Israeli occupation continues its violations against the Palestinian people, escalates its arbitrary measures, especially against the prisoners, and deprives them of their most basic rights guaranteed by international law, while the coordinator of the national action factions in Tulkarm, Faisal Salameh, pointed out that the issue of prisoners is a just national issue with distinction and it must be supported before international forums to force the occupation to end their suffering.

For his part, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Wasel Abu Yousef, explained that the prisoners’ file is a priority for the entire Palestinian people, stressing the need to release patients who suffer all kinds of torture in the occupation’s prisons, especially the cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid.

Yesterday, the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank witnessed a solidarity stand, in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons.
