Solidarity stand in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Damascus in support of the steadfast Palestinian prisoners in the occupation jails
The Palestinian resistance factions and the Committees for the Defense of Palestinian Prisoners and Detainees inside the Israeli occupation detention centers organized today a solidarity stand in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Damascus, in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation detention centers.
In a memorandum delivered to the International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC delegation, the participants demanded that specialized international investigative committees be dispatched to closely examine the reality of what is happening in the occupation detention centers in terms of gross violations of international law.
The participants also demanded the release of the bodies of the martyred prisoners held by the occupation authorities. The participants further demended an end to the raids, searches and arbitrary transfers of prisoners in detention centers, as well as an end to solitary confinement and penalties for the prisoners of the Freedom Tunnel. They also demanded the abolition of the so-called “administrative detention of the prisoners,” who number 1,200, including 19 minors and 3 female prisoners.
