Solidarity stand in Damascus in support for Palestinian hunger striking prisoners in occupation jails

The committee for Defending the Palestinian Prisoners and detainees in the Israeli occupation jails on Wednesday organized a solidarity stand at the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Damascus in support for the Palestinian hunger striking prisoners in the occupation jails.

Participants in the stand handed the ICRC’s mission a note in which they called for pressure to save the lives of the Palestinian hunger strikers and for forcing the occupation to stop detaining Palestinians without clear accusation lists.

The participants called for releasing the prisoners Nasr Abu Hamid, the child prisoner Ahmad Al-Manasra and the woman prisoner Israa Al-Ja’abees from the Isareli jails and urged ending the solitary confinement of many prisoners.

On her part, Andrea Heath, deputy head of the ICRC delegation in Syria said the committee seeks to ensure that prisoners enjoy family visits and that their families are informed of their children’s health condition.
