Solidarity Festival with Syria in Maracaibo City, Venezuela

MARACAIBO, (ST)_ In cooperation with the Arab- Venezuelan club, the Venezuelan Communist Party held a solidarity festival with Syria against the war  launched by terrorist organizations, and has been wreaking death and destruction and targeting the homeland historical and cultural monuments.

Chairman of the club Zaid Khoder highlighted, in a speech, during the festival, the steadfastness mounted by the Syrian people and army against terrorism which is funded and backed by Arab and Western countries, seeking to sabotage the region and exploiting its resources, stressing continued struggle in defense of the homeland against terrorists.

Khoder pointed to Syria’s political and historical importance as a focus of stability in the region, and the need to make every effort to maintain its security and stability.

The festival which was attended by the Syrian ambassador in Venezuela, Dr. Ghassan Abbas and members of the Syrian community, included media meetings and lectures on the current situation in the region.

Worthy mentioning that the club follows the Union of Arab institutions Fe-Arab, with the capital Caracas as a headquarters.

It includes 45 clubs distributed on Venezuelan cities and districts, at the efforts of members of the Syrian community, with numerous cultural and social activities.
