During the meeting, the Minister reviewed what the Ministry has done in implementation of the directives of President Bashar al-Assad to provide all necessary facilities for the Syrian citizens arriving back home and secure their needs, stressing the integration of government efforts in partnership with non-governmental organizations, which played a major role in urgently and quickly addressing any difficulties and securing the necessary requirements and needs for the Syrian citizens, and referring them to the facilities provided by the Ministry to non-governmental organizations in the field of response.
During the meeting held at the Ministry premises, Minister al-Siba’i stressed the importance of following up on work on the ground and continuous communication between the Ministry and the UN Fund through quarterly work reports and feedback on the implementation of activities, programs and capacity building, which contributes to the achievement of the agreed plan and addresses the delayed files, noting that the Ministry is ready to provide all necessary facilities to make the Fund’s work in Syria a success.
For her part, Mafico pointed out the continuous support provided by the Ministry to the Fund, which positively reflects on the work between the two sides and contributes to the success of relief and humanitarian work, indicating that the Population Fund will exert more effort to mobilize additional resources in order to support the rapid response to the citizens arriving back and secure their full needs through coordination with the United Nations agencies in a way that achieves a more efficient response.
