Social Affairs Ministry, ILO discuss Conditions of Workers in Quneitra and Occupied Golan

Deputy Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim discussed with Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Frank Hagemann the conditions of workers in Quneitra and the occupied Golan.

Talks focused on the damage inflicted on workers as a result of Israeli practices that led to the displacement of many of workers and deprived them of their basic rights.

Head of the Workers’ Union Fawaz Al-Ahmad stressed the importance of drawing the attention of the international community to the suffering of the Syrian workers in those areas, stressing the need to take measures to protect their rights and support them in facing the challenges imposed by the Israeli occupation.
