A tourist group comprising 17 tourists from Slovenia and Croatia visited the archeological sites in the city of Bosra Al-Sham in the Syrian province of Daraa.
The tourists visited the theater, the citadel and the old city in Bosra Al-Sham. They admired the monuments which have maintained their architecture despite the passage of long years.
Hasan Hinnawi, the tourist guide accompanying the group, told SANA that the city of Bosra Al-Sham is a main destination for foreign tourists, pointing out that the tourists enjoyed the beauty of the old city and its ancient monuments that indicate Syria’s civilization.
Director of Tourism in Daraa said that the Directorate of Tourism encourages internal and external tourism and it continues its coordination with the parties concerned in the tourist sector to intensify tourist visits.
He clarified that Bosra Al-Sham, which contains 45 archeological sites inside and outside the old city, witnesses frequent visits, especially by European tourists.
