Slovakia: Syrians alone can decide the future of their country

Bratislava(ST):  Slovak Deputy Foreign Minister Ingrid Protskova stressed the need to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria through dialogue among the Syrians themselves without foreign interference. 

In an interview with Slovak Radio, Protskova stressed that the future of Syria is decided by the Syrians alone, expressing her country’s support for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria based on Resolution 2254. 

Resolution 2254, which was unanimously adopted by the UN Security Council in December 2015, affirms that the Syrians are the ones who determine the future of their country on their own, without any external interference, and that terrorist organizations are outside any political process.
