Slovak politician: US military presence in Syria is illegal

Milan Uhrík, Member of the European Parliament for Slovakia and leader of the Slovak “Republic” Party, has affirmed that the US military presence in Syria is illegal.

“The American forces are not satisfied with violating the Syrian sovereignty through establishing US bases on Syrian land, they also support separatist militias and steal Syria’s oil and natural resources”, Uhrík said in a post on his facebook account following his visit to the Syrian Embassy in Brussels.

He pointed out that Syria is currently facing the American occupation and the western coercive measures that mainly affect civilians.

Uhrík clarified that his party and he always support dialogue and peace among all peoples and countries of the world away from unilateralism and hegemony.
