Slovak Party: Agreement on resuming Syria’s participation in Arab League meetings a far-sighted step
Prague – Leader of the Slovak Socialists Party Artur Bekmatov has stressed that Syria’s assuming of its role in the Arab league is an important step to bring the country out of the western blockade imposed on it.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague on Saturday, Bekmatov said the agreement on resuming Syria’s participation in the Arab League meetings is a far-sighted and realistic step, expressing his confidence that Syria will soon return to the international arena as a state that enjoys respect and plays its full role.
He pointed out that events at the Arab League level indicate the Arab countries’ desire to work independently in the international arena.
