Six Palestinian prisoners continue with their hunger strike in protest against the occupation’s crimes

Six Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails continue with their hunger strike in protest against the occupation’s continuous crimes against the captives.

According to Hassan Abd Rabbo, spokesman of the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Commission, the health condition of the hunger striking prisoners is deteriorating day after day, as they suffer from notable loss of weight and fatigue. He pointed out that the prisoners’ suffering is exacerbating in the light of the occupation’s aggressive practices towards them and its attempt to deprive them from visits by their families.

The prisoners are Kayed Al-Fasfous who has been on a hunger strike for 45 days, Miqdad Al-Qawasmi, for 38 days, Ahmad Hamamreh for 29 days, Ala Araj for 21 days, Hisham Abu Hawwash for 12 days and Raiq Bisharat for 7 days, Abd Rabbo said.

Some 40 Palestinian administrative detainees went on hunger strike since the start of the year to protest their detention, most have either won their freedom or had their imprisonment set to end at a specific date leading them to end their hunger strike, according to WAFA news agency.

540 Palestinians are currently held in administrative detention in the Israeli jails.
