Six Palestinian prisoners break their chains from an occupation detention center through a tunnel they dug with their own hands

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Six Palestinian prisoners managed to break the chain of the Israeli jailer at dawn today through a tunnel that they had dug with their own hands in Gilboa prison near the city of Bisan in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948.

Palestinian media reported that the prisoners were able to reach freedom through a tunnel they dug with their hands from their prison cell to a field outside it, noting that the occupation authorities started a wide search campaign in the vicinity of the prison and closed a number of roads and intensified its military checkpoints.

The occupation authorities also transferred 400 Palestinian prisoners from Gilboa detention camp to other detention centers for fear of additional tunnels.
