SILA leather Industries Exhibition Kicks off in Aleppo

With the participation of 90 companies, SILA International Exhibition for Shoes, Leather and Production Supplies (sale… Summer 2024) started yesterday.

The exhibition was organized by the Aleppo Industry Chamber and the Arab Federation of Leather Industries on the grounds of the Sports City in Hamdaniya.

The President of the Arab Federation of Leather Industries, Tariq al-Tamimi, said in a statement to SANA that several SILA exhibitions had been held in Damascus. Holding the exhibition in the city of Aleppo is a qualitative and important shift.

The President of the Aleppo Industry Chamber, Fars al-Shahabi, explained that the leather and shoes industry is an important export industry, stressing the fact that this exhibition succeeded in attracting a number of visitors from several different Arab countries, including Iraq, Palestine and Jordan which makes it an important opportunity to be an export window for the Syrian products.

Participants stressed that their participation is an affirmation of the recovery of production in Aleppo and an emphasis on the quality of Syrian industry. The exhibition also represents an important opportunity to sign contracts and promote products in Arab and foreign markets.

The four-day exhibition includes various types of leather, shoes, bags and leather clothing.
