Signing of the book (Strategic importance of Golan from perspective of Israel’s security and survival)

Coinciding with the 54th anniversary of the usurping Zionist entity’s occupation of the Golan, the signing ceremony of the book “The Strategic Importance of the Golan Region from the Perspective of Israel’s Security and Survival” by Iranian writer Ali Shakeri was held on Wednesday in the Kawthar Building at the Iranian Presidency in Tehran.

Ayatollah Muhammad Hassan Akhtiari, advisor to the Iranian president and head of the Committee to Support the Palestinian People at the Iranian Presidency, stressed that the book highlights the strategic importance of the Golan, pointing out that publishing the book in Arabic supports just causes.

Major General Dr. Hussein DehKan, the Revolutionary Leader’s advisor for defense affairs, stressed that the Golan is an inseparable part of the Syrian territory, and that the core of the Golan issue is considered the core of the Palestinian cause. He highlighted the role of the resistance axis, which has reached a point of strength today that has made the enemy lose its ability to suppress, destroy and sabotage.

Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Iran and the Ambassador of Palestine, Salah Al-Zawawi, underlined the importance of publishing this book, noting at the same time Syria’s stances regarding the Palestinian cause, which resulted in waging a ten-year war against it.

In turn, Ali Shakeri, the author of the book, stressed the geopolitical importance of the Syrian Golan, pointing out that he highlighted in his book the importance of occupied Syrian Golan and the illegal Zionist attempts and goals towards it.

The Syrian ambassador to Iran, Dr. Shafik Daiop, reiterated that the Golan is and will remain Syrian Arab territory.  Golan  will remain alive  in the memory and heart of every Syrian citizen and will return to Syrian sovereignty by all legitimate and available means.

In his speech during the ceremony, Ambassador Daiop noted the importance of launching the book at this time, which coincides with the fifty-fourth anniversary of the occupation of the occupied Golan by the Zionist entity. It came about ten days after the occupation authorities prevented the sons of the occupied Syrian Golan from participating in the Syrian presidential elections .

Referring to the great achievements that Syria achieved during the ten years of the war on terrorism, Ambassador Daiop shed light on the support of allies, friends and brothers and their standing by the Syrian people in their honorable war against terrorism, expressing his optimism about the future of the resistance, which realizes victories.

With regard to the Palestinian cause, Ambassador Daiop reiterated Syria’s continued full support for the Palestinian just cause and people until all their rights are restored and the entire occupied Arab lands are liberated.

The book was published by the Sons of the Prophet’s Cultural and Artistic Foundation, with the support and supervision of the Committee for the Protection of the Islamic Palestinian Revolution at the Iranian Presidency and the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement al-Nujaba in Iran. It will be translated into several other languages.
