DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda al-Shammat confirmed that the ministry will provide significant support to secure the livelihoods of the displaced in temporary accommodation centers, particularly in Sayeda Zeinab city.
During a tour in Sayeda Zeinab city with the Governor of Damascus Countryside Hussein Makhlouf, yesterday al-Shammat said that : “the terrorism of the dark forces, supported by foreign sides will not deter us from defending our country and land, and thanks to the bravery of our armed forces, rights will be restored, no matter how challenges are great.”
The minister and the governor visited several homes, hotels and public places of residence for the displaced and listened to their suffering as a result of terrorism perpetrated against them by the dark forces and expressed willingness to return and defend their town against terrorism.
The minister and the governor also held an expanded meeting at the headquarters of the city council and formed a working team including local community elders, heads of service departments in the area and members of the Syrian Red Crescent society to discuss conditions of 800 displaced families to provide them with necessary requirements and emergency plans for the displaced from Sayeda Zeinab, Bahdaleya and Husseinya towns.
Participated in the event were deputy chairman of the executive office in the province, and heads of health, electricity, water, communications and technical services and social affairs institutions in the governorate, head of the city council, religious, partisan and unionist activists and dignitaries representing the local community.
