Shtieyyeh welcomes the success of the international efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtieyyeh has welcomed the success of the international efforts that led to the cessation of the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.

In a statement reported by Wafa News Agency, Shtieyyeh thanked all the countries that responded to the call of Palestine during the first days of the aggression to hold an emergency meeting at the UN Security Council to stop the aggression against the Palestinians and then hold a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly after the Security Council failed to issue a resolution to stop the aggression due to a position the  United States’ biased position towards the  occupation, expressing appreciation for the stances of the countries that expressed their rejection of the war crimes committed by “Israel” against civilians in the Gaza Strip and called on these countries to find a solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and for their efforts that led to the cessation of the aggression, starting from two o’clock today.

Shtieyyeh explained that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip were subjected to killings, intimidation and genocide over the past eleven days of the horrific aggression launched by the Israeli occupation against them, during which entire families were wiped out, dozens of children, women, and elderly people were killed, and hundreds were injured due to the massive destruction of the facilities, buildings and residential towers.
