Shtayyeh: The absence of international accountability encourages the occupation to commit more crimes

Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh  has stressed that the absence of international accountability encourages Israeli occupation to continue with impunity and commit more crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people.

Shtayyeh,  in a statement reported by the Palestinian Wafa News Agency on Tuesday, said the the occupation forces keep stormig into hospitals,  committing field executions against patients, as happened in Ibn Sina Hospital on Tuesday  morning, preventing ambulance crews from reaching the wounded and killing, detaining and torturing paramedics and doctors in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City”.

He stressed that all these practices are war crimes which should be punished by international law and international humanitarian law.

The Palestinian Prime Minister called on the International Court of Justice to intervene urgently to take a decision to stop the crimes of genocide after the occupation refused to implement the urgent measures that the court obligated it to take which forms a blatant challenge to international justice.

He also called on the international community, especially the United States, to put pressure on the occupation to stop its aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank immediately.
