Shtayyeh calls on the international community to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip

Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh renewed his demand for the international community to stop the continuous Israeli aggression for the eighth day on the besieged Gaza Strip.

“Wafa news agency”  quoted Shtayyeh as saying today that the international community’s issuance of statements of denunciation and condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people is no longer sufficient, and serious measures must be taken to stop the continued Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip and stop its ongoing crimes against the Palestinians.

Shtayyeh pointed out that entire families were exterminated and their homes demolished over the heads of their children by the brutal occupation raids on the Strip, pointing out that these crimes are broadcast live and that no one in the world can say that he has not seen or heard.

Shtayyeh expressed his regret over the failure of the UN Security Council to reach a unified position condemning the occupation attacks and working to stop them immediately, indicating that Palestine will go to the General Assembly of the United Nations where no one has the right to veto.

Shtayyeh stressed the need for the International Criminal Court to expedite the opening of an investigation into the occupation crimes against the Palestinians and hold those responsible accountable.
