Short Feature Film “Deep Sleep” is Ready for Screening

Director Khaled Othman is currently finishing the recent technical operations of the short feature film, which he wrote under the title “Deep Sleep”.  The film was produced by the General Establishment for Cinema and ready for screening within a short period.

The film deals with the story  of “Ragheb” , who is a  director and  has a tense relationship with his wife “Awdeh” after his retirement from work and the migration of his son “Jaber” abroad.

 

“ Ragheb” was  dominated by  the idea of death and is reconciled with this  idea when he discovers his wife’s effect  in his life and enters into a deep sleep.

On his first cooperation with the General  Establishment for Cinema  ,  the filmmaker  Othman said in a statement to SANA  “The film comes within the  General Establishment for Cinema’s policy  to cooperate with us as academic cinema scholars from various specializations  , after which we will be given an opportunity to go through the experience of directing a  long film.”

Othman explained that the movie’s story combines the past, present and future through  the film’s  characters and monitors the effects of war on their lives,  referring to the saying  that  those who lose memory of the past will lose the present and the future..

A number of Famous  artists are starring the film’s characters including  Abbas Al-Nouri, Wafaa Mousalli, Jamal Al-Ali, Fayez Qazaq, Hammam Reda, Naya Andalus, Mohannad Bazai, Hassan Al-Salem, Nadine Al-Shaar and the child Taj Othman..
