Shoigu: The US army plunders Syria’s wealth and trains terrorists in its bases

Ankara (ST): Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu confirmed that the US army is plundering Syria’s wealth and training terrorist organizations in its illegal bases, such as the al-Tanf base, stressing that its presence on Syrian soil violates international law.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement: that Shoigu reminded, during talks with the Minister of Defense of the Turkish regime Hulusi Akar in Istanbul today, that the US military has long been present on Syrian territory in violation of international standards and that the militants of terrorist groups are being trained in the bases deployed by the United States on Syrian territories, such as the Al-Tanf base.

Shoigu stressed the illegality of the unilateral measures imposed by the United States on Syria, explaining that these measures have exacerbated the difficult humanitarian situation there as a result of the crisis.
